Chỉ thói quen hoặc bản tính khó đổi: người khá giả thường siêng làm, còn người nghèo lại chỉ ham ăn. Câu này dùng để nhận xét, đôi khi chê trách, về nếp sống và sự chăm chỉ của con người.

It refers to the idea that habits and dispositions are hard to change: the well-off tend to be industrious, while the poor are portrayed as caring only about eating. It is used to comment on, and sometimes criticize, a person's way of living and work ethic.
